What is compliance

„Compliance“ means adhering to rules and laws. The FAUN Compliance Organization helps to explain rules, adhere to them in everyday life and monitor them. This enables us to reduce potential risks to a minimum.

THINK AND ACT RESPONSIBLY

Supply Chain Act

The German Supply Chain Due Diligence Act (LkSG) came into force on January 1, 2023. This regulates the responsibility of companies in international supply and value chains and significantly strengthens respect for human rights.

The human rights and environmental positions defined in the law define which stakeholders and interests must be taken into account in an appropriate manner. Appropriateness is determined by various indicators, e.g. depending on the respective sphere of influence and whether the company's own business area or the business area of a direct/indirect business partner is affected.

Based on the risk analysis, the generally required due diligence obligations also include the installation of an internal company complaints procedure (§8). This enables individuals to draw attention to human rights and environmental risks and violations of these that are caused by the economic activities of a company in its own business area or those of a direct supplier. We will deal diligently and appropriately with every report we receive and guarantee impartial action on the part of the person(s) entrusted to us. Where possible, whistleblowers will be contacted within seven days with an acknowledgement of receipt. Although we guarantee that the whistleblower will not face any consequences (discrimination or punishment), anonymous reporting is also possible.

The proceedings initiated serve to settle the risk or breach by mutual agreement. We review the effectiveness of our complaints mechanism on an annual basis and in relation to the cause and trigger.
